Me and my mocha at The Muffinry, Telok Ayer
Going to Telok Ayer on a Sunday? This must be a latepost!
Busted! Okay, you got me. This was actually a Saturday in...a couple months ago. I don't know I can't remember.

Oh my gawd, it must be Christmas! See those Christmas decorations!

Yikes! Okay fine fine! It was a Saturday in December 2015. Happy??? Geez.
Tsk. At least you are still coming out from your house. So how's the place?
Quaint little cafe in Telok Ayer street, a hipster street filled with shop houses at your left and right hand. Perfect to come alone here on a Saturday (at least for me). I think it's nice to sip a coffee here alone on a weekday too but do avoid lunch hours. The Muffinry has seating upstairs and downstairs. If you prefer less people walking around here and there beside you, go for the seats upstairs.
How's the coffee?
I think the barista put way too much chocolate in my mocha (S$6) but I am not really a coffee drinker so yeah, I don't mind it at all. If you really love your coffee, you probably have to tell the barista beforehand not to put so much chocolate in your mocha.

Anything that piqued your curiosity?
Glad you asked that because I really could not help but feeling curious toward these hanged tube. Inside each tubes, there are a different count of coffee beans. Is the Muffinry experimenting with something? Cloning coffee? Coffee which gives you superpower? I just had to know!
...and?
Turns out it's some kind of marketing programme offered by the Muffinry (they name it "The Bean Programme". Basically you can get an empty tube, put your name on the tag, fill it with one coffee bean for every visit with a purchase (of coffee I guess), and hang it at the display. Once the tube is filled with coffee beans, you will be entitled to a free one cup of coffee and two muffins or two cups of coffee or two ripe bananas (what?).
You can share the tube with your coffee buddy. But for us, solo cafe-hopper, we can always fill the tube in slower way I guess.
Ciao~~
