Why do we need to procrastinate sometimes?
Being defined as delaying doing what supposed to be done, procrastination has earned a lot of negativity especially when associated with laziness. However, in such a busy life that people live nowadays, is it even possible to finish every task, every assignment, every to-do-list within the ideal working hours of 8 hours? Let's face it, if we don't procrastinate, we probably would not be able to go home at all. O_O.
In the context of busy lifestyle, procrastinating can be a way to help us to manage time better. Of course, it has to be within certain context though. For instance, procrastinating is good in a way that you just have to finish what you can do today. Whatever piece of work you can do tomorrow, please do it tomorrow.
After all, if you decide not to procrastinate on your work, aren't you procrastinating on other aspect of your life (e.g. postponing that much-required visit to your parents, or postponing doing that set of exercise, or even something simple like postponing cleaning your room). We only have 24 hours within a day and if you can only have time for yourself by procrastinating on certain things, well, so be it, right?
At the end of the day, do something today that your future self will thank you for. Even if you have to procrastinate for it.
