5 Reasons to Stop Overthinking Habit
Sometimes, the one thing that I dread the most when I am alone is my brain.
1. Overthinking makes you lose focus on what really matters
Simply because you are keep thinking about that one particular thing, you cannot really think about other things. Not even what is more important to you.
2. Overthinking creates more problem
The possibility of "what-if" is unlimited and by overthinking, you create more and more "what-if" scenarios which tend to lead to more problems. At the end of the day, the problem may not even exist.
3. Overthinking wastes time and energy
It drains your spirit and also, your happiness. The problem with overthinking is it tends to happen when we are alone, especially at night time when we are already on bed and about to sleep. When we overthink, it makes us restless and awake for we don't know how long. A total bummer to our good night sleep.
4. Overthinking stresses us
It can stress us to the point it creates all kind of symptom in our body. For examples, migraine. The next day trip to the doctor will not be a fun thing and will be an added burden to our life. Thanks to this overthinking. Hmmph!
5. Overthinking can lead to depression over time
This may happen when we keep overthink about the same thing over and over again until the point where we think that all hope is gone. The irony is when the problem is actually not that big. Sometimes, we just need a different perspective on certain problem and overthinking is surely not the solution.
Rather than overthinking about certain stuff, why don't we learn to be grateful and make ourselves happy? For a start, here is the list of songs to lift up our mood. Hope it can distract us from overthinking. La la la.
